Relaxation massage is the use of rhythmic, flowing strokes to induce feelings of relaxation and wellbeing. Relaxation massage can be useful for improving stress linked conditions, by giving you space to switch off while also giving you techniques for improving stress levels outside of the treatment room. Some studies show that prolonged exposure to stress hormones, such as cortisol, can have a negative effect on health, which suggests that regular massage could be useful as part of a healthy lifestyle. Within your treatment I will check how much pressure you would prefer.
Too much pressure and too little pressure can both feel uncomfortable. I also use music and essential oils to enhance the relaxing effects of your treatment.
